What is this blog about?
I have been fortunate to appreciate many cultures and many eras of film media in my life, and wish to share that comparitive information with others! You might not have an urge to watch the original 1946 French film "La Belle et la Bete" and compare it to more modern Disney versions of the mid-18th century fairy tale, I DO. And have. Cause I'm weird like that. 🤷 Similiarly, now that "new" Star Trek is happily rampaging, many people have tried to give the older shows a chance and just "don't get it." I actually generally prefer older media to newer media (easier to follow, slower action, etc) and feel I can give a pretty good overall run-through of themes and strengths whilst being culturally aware of the time-period and technological constraints of the time. So. Prepare for anything from "this new season dropped on Netflix yesterday" to "black and white foreign films from the dawn of cinema." Cause I love it all, and it's ...
